The first 'Music at Lunchtime' concert at St Mary's took place in November 1981 and since then they have been held every Thursday (organised by The Friends of St Mary's) in the incomparable setting and beautiful acoustic of the church.

These chamber concerts are forty minutes long and are performed by musicians of high calibre, including professional musicians as well as senior music students at the Royal Academy of Music and Aylesbury Music Centre. The concerts have been described as 'Aylesbury's answer to the South Bank', as many of the performers are on their way to give perfomances there and at other London venues. The concerts are appreciated by a wide spectrum of music-lovers who find them an oasis of calm in the middle of a busy day.

Please come and join us for a restful interlude. If you are unable to remain for the forty minutes you are free to leave between items.

Please see Worship and Diary for details of forthcoming 'Music at Lunchtime' concerts as well as other musical events taking place in the church.
